Just in Case – Harvest Meadow Thank You Card

August 26, 2021 by Patsy Waggoner

26 Aug

Each Thursday my Border Buddy Alison Solven from Canada and Patsy Waggoner from the US, take turns creating a card that we CASED from a current Stampin’ Up! catalog. CASE stands for (Copy And Selectively Edit).   We like to show you how you can use the paper crafting projects in the Stampin’ Up! Catalog to inspire you!

I love today's cased card!  I used the Nature's Harvest Stamp Set & Harvest Dies featured in the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog to create today's card.  The Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper adorns the edges of the card.

When you CASE, you can copy it exactly, or selectively edit it by changing the colors or the stamp set or both.  Today I kept the colors and layout the same and changed up the stamp set and designer paper.

The Stampin' Up! concept artist used the Beauty Of Tomorrow Stamp Set which is also in the Mini Catalog.  Both are great nature sets and wonderful for creating masculine cards too.  Masculine cards are always a challenge for me and many of my readers.

The Harvest Meadow Designer Series paper that was applied to the outer edges of the card front are  3/4 of an inch.  I then stamped the fun flowers in Rich Razzleberry and Early Espresso Classic Inks on Basic White Cardstock 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" and sponged the bottom edge with Cinnamon Cider Classic Ink.

The silhouette flower is die cut out of Cinnamon Cider Cardstock using the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and the Harvest Dies. The other flower is stamped in Early Espresso and die cut and both are applied to the card front with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped the Thank You in Early Espresso and cut it out with the tag die from the Harvest Dies and layered it on a piece Early Espresso cardstock.  I had stamped the cardstock with one of the flowers from the set in Early Espresso.  Glued the words to the espresso cardstock and then trimmed it to match.  It is hard to see the stamped images on the Early Espresso cardstock in the picture but adds a nice touch in person.  I finished it off with a Linen Thread Bow.
