Hello Stampers!
On Saturday in my Border Buddy Saturday post I shared some adorable cards made by my friend Liane Binder (check out her blog here!). Today I'm sharing another one with you using the Tasty Trucks stamp set which is free with your $60 purchase during Sale-a-bration.
This little truck just screams to be a slider card and this one is fabulous. The patterned paper is from Carried Away Designer Series Paper, another freebie available with your $60 purchase during Sale-a-bration.
The "channel" for the truck to travel on is made with the Banners Framelits Dies and the Big Shot. It makes a perfect "road" don't you think?
And when you pull the ribbon the truck moves along the road to reveal the message underneath. How clever is Liane?

What die or punch do you use to cut the slot in the card for this?

I don’t have the banner set and often wished it had the banner point on each end. As I use this type of banner quite often for a greeting.
How did you make a banner cut on each end using the die? The banner only has the point on one end of the die.
How do you use to hold the truck away from the card stock to make it stay attached. Is it just glued to the ribbon?
To make the point on each end you would run it through and then flip framelit so point end is at the straight side. You will have to move it along so that you aren’t cutting off the point from the original end. I’ll try and post a picture and explanation on a blog post.
The card is called a slider card and if you google it you’ll find directions on how to make them.

Alison, do you have a favorite Gel pen to use on your cards? Since SU quit selling the Gel pen I have not found a decent replacement pen to buy.
