I’m loving this set – Silly Sealife – the turtle is so cute! I’ve been playing around with different techniques and pulled out an oldie but a goodie – Versamark resist. You have to start with glossy cardstock. Stamp your image with versamark and then use a brayer to add the colour. The versamark will "resist" the ink and the image will "pop" off the page. This technique will be covered in my Very Versatile Versamark class on August 27th.
I used watercolour paper for the octopus and coloured with the Watercolour Wonder Crayons and Aqua Painter (my fav thing!) and then added some Dazzling Diamonds for some glitz.
Then…the best part…I dyed the white gros grain ribbon with the Cool Caribbean reinker to match the cardstock!! Love it and soooo easy. Add some water and about 5 drops of reinker to a container. Roll up you ribbon and soak in mixture for a few minutes until saturated. Take out with tweezers (you might want to wear gloves) and dry on a paper towel. Viola..ribbon in every colour of Stampin’ Up!
Happy Stamping,
Alison
