I’ve added some wonderful Christmas Cards I’ve received from friends and customers in the Photo Album entitled "Christmas Cards 2006". I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I’ve enjoyed recieving them in the mail these past weeks.
I wanted to highlight a few cards I’ve received because I thought the technique/colours/presentation weren’t traditional Christmas cards. Having said this, all the cards I received this year are beautiful! I can’t highlight them all here in the body of my blog because of space restrictions but they are all in my photo albums to the right of this message.
The first card to the left was created by one of my customers, Rhonda Perry. She used the Print Pattern background and inked it sparingly and then stamped it a few times turning the stamp to create a collage feel. She then did a direct to paper technique on the focal piece and embossed the snowflake design in white. There are also white embossed snowflakes randomly stamped on the background. I love the way Rhonda tied the silver ribbon to the front – very effective. I just LOVE this card.
The second card I wanted to highlight was created by my downline, Elaine Paget. Elaine used a window sheet (transparency) to create the body of the card. She stamped snowflakes all over using White StazOn ink (permanent ink). She then used the dry embossing technique for the snowflake on the white scrap and embellished it with a brad. The other pieces are attached to the window sheet and look like they are "floating". Just a fabulous card!
I love all the cards I received from friends and customers this year and have them all displayed in my photo album "Christmas Cards Received 2006" – please check them out.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Happy Kwanza, Season’s Greetings…whatever holiday you are celebrating I hope it’s a wonderful one with your family and friends.
Happy Stamping,
Alison
