Hello Stampers,
I was inspired by my friend Bev’s blog and her 4 designs using the same colour scheme. I had already created 2 different cards for a swap using the same colours and had other attempts lying on my desk when I thought I would try the same idea as Bev did with her cards.
My first card was using the Sell-A-Bration set called Happy Harmony and some of my favourite colours – Certainly Celery, Almost Amethyst and Elegant Eggplant. I really loved this design but I didn’t have 24 buttons for the swap cards so onto design #2…..
which used the same colours but I added some brads, ribbon and paper piercing. I also added the Whisper White as the main card colour so the other colours would pop!
This design was inspired by a card I saw on Splitcoast Stampers – I also used the Linen Background on the Celery because my friend Eleonor insists on never leaving a background plain and she has got me hooked on background stamps. The last one
turns the design lenthwise as in Card # 3 but is crisper and simplier.
In the end I do love them all but I think my favourite is still #1 because as Marie said in her comments…"who doesn’t like buttons?"
Happy Stamping!
Alison
Beautiful!! #1 is my fav too. I love that corner punch.
I originally voted for #1 but I’m thinkin’ #4 is right up there too! That’s such a good idea…to do 4 different layouts with the same color combo…I may have to give that a try!! TFS!!
