Hello Stampers,
I have a 10-4-30 class this Saturday morning at my studio in New Westminster, BC – there is still room if you want to come. What is a 10-4-30 – it’s a class where you make 10 cards for $30. There are 5 cards and we make 2 of each card – that way you have one to keep and one to give away!
About 2 years ago my friend, Elaine Paget, sent me a lovely Christmas card (she is the "Queen" of cards or projects that just have that little extra zing) and I can’t believe how many customers comment on this card. I leave it in my Christmas box even though some of the stamps and papers are retired because it’s such a stunning card in person.
This is Elaine’s card but it’s difficult to photograph an acetate based card.
So, this got me to thinking about making my own acetate card from my upcoming class. Here’s my take on this technique – the trick is to layer the "front" and "back" of the inside pieces so the images float on top of one another. I used the White Staz On ink to stamp the snowflakes from the Snow Flurries set on the acetate – works beautifully and dries right away. The other set is Season of Joy which will be available only until November 30th from the Holiday Mini Catalogue. The little swirl, flower and hand stamped images can be used year round.
I admit that I’m totally addicted to the Build A Brads – love, love, love them!
Here’s a close up of the scallop snowflake where I’ve used the Build A Brad. Remember my special – if you purchase the Crop A Dile at regular price I will give you the Build A Brad kit for FREE – delivery anywhere in Canada.
Happy Stamping,
Alison
