Decor elements are up!

June 29, 2008 by Alison Solven

Hello Stampers,

I100_7041-1 ‘ve put up my first decor element piece in my craft room.  Naturally I choose the “Create” definition and put it above my work station.  Try and focus on the element and NOT my messy room – oh and pay no attention to the Panama Canal chair covering that my son “found” when we were on the cruise – it fits perfectly on the back of my chair – LOL  It was the on the last day so I don’t think they would have minded…

I’m sorry for the quality of the pictures – it’s a “typepad” issue and apparently they are working on it.

So my overall impression of these decor elements is WOW – they are an awesome and economical way of adding a little “punch” to your room.  Since they are removable it’s a lot easier than painting your entire wall or room and you can remove them when you want a change.  I’m looking forward to the next release hoping it will have some images I can put up for the Christmas holidays.

The “hardest” part for me was transferring the image from the imaging sheet to the “sticky” sheet.  It takes patience and some rubbing.  Installing “create” took me about 15 minutes in total – I tacked it up to make sure it was straight, marked the edges with a pencil and then began rubbing (you need the special applicator) it so that it transferred from the grid sheet to the application sheet.  You gently start peeling the backing off and if you find that certain pieces aren’t transferring you just rub that section until it does.  This took the longest time – about 10 minutes.  The actual application on the wall was easy peasy – about 1 minute.  My advice is take your time with the transfer process.

Happy Stamping,

Alison
