Hello Stampers,
Yesterday, July 22nd, was my birthday and I received some lovely cards in the mail and I wanted to share them with you.
The first card was from my friend, Helen, and I guess you can guess what “birthday” it was for me. LOL
This card is breathtaking in person. The background is the broken glass (?) technique and Helen added Pearl Ex to make it shine. Just a stunning card to receive but the sentiments were even better. 🙂
The next one was from my friend, Farah. There’s a story behind this one. I was sharing with my Stamper’s Club that my mother was Scottish and there is a superstition (in Scotland there is a superstitution for practically everything!) about Owls where if you hear the hoot of an Owl someone close to you will die. So I never liked Owls. But Stampin’ Up! is coming out with a new stamp set and it’s all about owls and it really is adorable so I think I’m over my Owl fear. Still not over my Clown fear though.
So here’s the adorable Owl card Farah made for me!
Isn’t it cute?
Lastly, here’s a card from my sister Ellie – didn’t she do an awesome job? – she’s a new stamper and is attending her 1st Stampin’ Up! Convention next week with my other sister and I. She used one of the new Sneak Peak sets on her card along with the Scallop Punch – love it!
Happy Stamping,
Alison
Very happy belated birthday, Alison! Wishing you much joy, peace and every happiness for the coming year and always.
Have a good time at convention…you stamp seductress you! (I had to spell check seductress cuz it looks wrong to me ;P)
Big hugs,
Sonya
Happy belated greetings Alison. You share
your birthday with my youngest sister June.
She turned 60 and receives her Canada Pension next month.
