Stamp Crazy with Alison

Anatomy of a Swap

April 14, 2009 by Alison Solven

14 Apr

Hello Stampers,

One of the great things (among many) that Stampin' Up! demonstrators get to do is attend Regional Seminars.  I've lost count on the number I've attend over my 7 years with Stampin' Up! but each one is an awesome way to connect and reconnect with demonstrators from your own area.  This year my downline and I are heading to Seattle, Washington, a short 3 hours from Vancouver.

We receive a full day of business tips, workshop ideas and WOW demonstrations along with a new stamp set (from the upcoming catalogue) and, of course, make n' takes!  Part of the excitement is swapping – you make as many "swap" cards as you'd like and then it's a free for all trading them with other demonstrators.  I'll come home with approximately 40 different cards to share with my customers who, I believe, love seeing the swaps as much as I do!

Class samples - april 09-1 Here's how it starts….cut, stamp, glue!

Occasions mini 2009 020 My swap card this year is a CASE from friend,Liane Binder, who kindly allowed me to use her card using the Sense of Time and Sanded Background stamps.

The colours are Sahara Sand and Chocolate Chip.

How old is TOO old for the Easter Bunny?  Apparently there is no age limit!  Here's our very BIG kids enjoying their Easter candy.  The little Bunny Box was created by the awesomely (is that a word?) talented Amy Celana – thanks for sharing this with us Amy!

Class samples - april 09 004-1

Hope you all had a Happy Easter long weekend!

Happy Stampin'

Alison
