Stamp Crazy with Alison

The Pick of the Patch

August 6, 2009 by Alison Solven

6 Aug

Hello Stampers,

Classes 001 WOW I've sure been enjoying the bounty of strawberries, blueberries and cherries that we've been fortunate to have in our local stores and farmer's markets.  I always buy "local" because we need to support our growers here!  It's sure been easy this year to do just that!

I love the Tart & Tangy stamp set and at $16.95 (plus shipping/taxes) it's a steal – you can make some really adorable cards and tags with the direct to rubber technique and some markers.

Classes 004-1 Here's a great new class that you can take in person or by mail!  Pick of the Patch and it's all that….we'll create this adorable picnic basket and gift card which are perfect for using to wrap some homemade jam jars or strawberry scented candles or spa items!

Cost of the class (including the Tart & Tangy stamp set, a Real Red and Old Olive Marker) is $40 – the class alone is $20.  It includes the template and instructions to finish the two projects.  The date of the in-studio class is Thursday, August 27th at 7:00 pm – you must confirm by August 14th if you wish to order it with the stamp set so that the supplies are here for you at class.

Classes 007-1 Check out this cute basket I made using the instructions from Linda Heller – so cute.  It was a bit tricky but it didn't turn out too badly for my first attempt.  Don't you wish that blueberries and strawberries really were this big compared to their bussell basket?!

Get out and enjoy the bumper crops of these awesome fruits – they all contain stuff that I can't spell or pronounce but they fight diseases and keep us healthy!

Strawberry1 Happy Stamping,

Alison
