Hello Stampers,
My friend, Liane, and I got together yesterday for a Milk Carton blitz! We teamed up the new Milk Carton die from the Occasion Mini catalogue with my new favourite, The Fancy Favor Box (a Stampin' Up! exclusive die) to make these adorable Milk Carton gift boxes. The Fancy Favor Box has been altered to fit the two Milk Cartons – an idea originally credited to Janet Wakeland and adapted by tons of demos on their blogs – thanks for the idea Janet!
I used the new Stampin' Up! Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions die and the Little Angel stamp set from the Occasion Mini catalogue. The little sheep is an old favourite from the Pun Fun stamp set in the main catalogue.
I love Chocolate Chip and paired with Bashful Blue it's a perfect combination for a new little boy (change out the blue for Pretty in Pink for a girl). Fill the little milk cartons with various baby/mommy items including a little pair of socks, hand cream (for mom), a soother, baby nail kit or candy for Dad!
This was Liane's design – we used the Groom Designer Paper (LOVE IT!) along with Shimmery White cardstock. The stamps are from Together Forever and add an elegant touch to this wedding favour idea.
These could be used on the table at the wedding as a thank you gift and filled with chocolates, almonds and other trinkets for your guests.
Check out my upcoming class using this Designer Paper and stamp set. It's being held this Saturday, January 16th @10:30 am in my New Westminster studio – cost including all materials is $30. Email me to register or for more information.
I used the I {Love} Love wheel for the outside of the box and the Sending Love Designer Paper for the inside – both are in the Occasions Mini catalogue! The hearts are stamped and punched out using the Heart to Heart punch which matches the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set (try the clear version of this stamp set for perfect placement and easy collage designs – ask me how!)
I punched out a circle in the front of the carton and back it with acetate – I plan on filling it with cinnamon heart candy or chocolate hearts from Purdy's – yummy!
More ideas tomorrow – Liane and I are girls gone wild on Milk Cartons! Check out Liane's blog too!
Happy Stamping,
Alison
