Hello Stampers,
Each month, 10 enthusiastic stampers get together for a Big Shot Club. They each spend $30 on products from the catalogue and make projects (for free) using the Big Shot machine and accessories. Once in the ten month cycle they are the hostess and earn free rewards. I'll be starting a new club in September, 2010 – please email me to join – space is limited!
One of our projects in March was this card which uses the Embossing Folders in a fun way.
First you run the card through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder. Then you run the same piece through with another Embossing Folder (the Elegant Bouquet one in this case). The second time you run the piece through it softens the first embossing and leaves the second one more pronounced. I then used a sanding block to "buff" the raised portions which "pops" them out.
It's a fun technique – give it a try!
Happy Stamping,
Alison
