Stamp Crazy with Alison

Happy Canada Day and Happy New Year!

July 1, 2010 by Alison Solven

1 Jul

CanadianFlagVerticle147 Hello Stampers,

Happy Canada Day – I wish the weather would cooperate here on the Westcoast – it's cool and raining.

A few years ago I found a partial listing of inventions and/or discoveries made by Canadians or in Canada.  It's quite an impressive list and includes insulin, telephone, Electron microscope, Blackberry and the pacemaker.

If you're interested in the complete list you can find it here from my post in 2008.  So get out there and wave your flags!

It's also Happy New Year!  That's right, July 1st means a brand new Stampin' Up! year including the launch of our 2010/2011 Idea Book & Catalogue.

IBC10-11_CA If you'd like your own copy (I have four more boxes coming tomorrow after already going through eight boxes on my original preorder – you guys are worse than termites!) just let me know and you can pick it up on Saturday, July 3rd at my garage sale or on Saturday, July 10th at my Open House & Catalogue Launch.  Or if you live out of town it can be mailed to you for the cost of the postage.

Can't wait…click here for a pdf of the catalogue.

You probably know by now that Stampin' Up! has done a Colour Renovation and has introduced 10 new colours and brought back another 10 from previous years.  If you want to augment your current collections of paper, inks, pastels, watercolour crayons and markers you can purchase a "make up" kit. You will save money if you buy the products in a kit as opposed to individually.  Click here to view the different kits available.

If you place a $50 order with me before Sunday, July 4th you can pick any ink pad of your choice (any colour) and if your order reaches $100 you can pick the matching cardstock for FREE.  What a great way to start your new collection of inks & paper!

Happy Stamping,

Alison
