Hello Stampers,
In the latest Stampin' Success Magazine (a fabulous monthly publication available exclusively to Stampin' Up! Demonstrators) there was a card by Debra Burgin from Illinois that I CASED for my It's a Stamp Thing class on the weekend.
Years ago Stampin' Up! had solid shadow stamps and I really missed the look you could achieve with them on a card. Debra has recreated the effect using an acryllic block….yes you read that right. Ink up any size of our acryllic blocks (I used size D) with ink. Then stamp directly on your cardstock. Then add the other images to the shadow. So easy and fun!
Stamps: French Foliage, Woodgrain Background
Ink: Early Espresso, River Rock
Cardstock: River Rock, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Other: Early Espresso Satin Ribbon, Deck the Halls Buttons, Hemp
The only change I made to the card was to add a few extra elements including the script stamp image behind the leaf, the Woodgrain Background to the main card and the ribbon and button.
Happy Stamping,
Alison
