Build A Brad Tutorial

November 4, 2010 by Alison Solven

4 Nov

Hello Stampers,

I posted a card the other day from my Marker Club and thought I would show you how to make the Build A Brad.  They are so much fun and you can use any image or part of an image that fits in the 1/2" punch.

Here's the card as a reminder:

And here's how to make your own "brad".

The Build A Brad comes with 24 brads and matching clear "bubbles". The cool thing about the tins is that when all your brads are gone you can decorate the tin.  Hersey Nuggets fit perfectly in the tin!

You can use any image that fits inside the 1/2" circle punch.  Even part of a larger image is great like the sample shown here.

Attach the circle to the top of the brad with a glue dot and then carefully top it with the clear acryllic bubble.   The bubble is sticky on one side so it self-adheres.  Be careful not to get your finger prints on the sticky side.

Use the completed brad as you would a regular brad.  The great thing about these is that you can customize your brads to fit your project.

Here's a close up of the brad from the above card.  Whoops..the pearl moved – it's supposed to be in the center of the snowflake.

Happy Stamping,

Alison
