Hello Stampers,
At our monthly marker club we learned the technique "direct to rubber" with our markers. The first card used the stamp set Season of Joy which has an awesome image that works beautifully with this technique. Each image on the stamp is coloured with a different coloured marker. I also used the Build A Brad for the little snowflake. I haven't used these in a while and they are so much fun!
Stamps: Season of Joy
Ink: Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze Markers
Paper: Shimmery White, Real Red, Baja Breeze, Candy Cane DP
Other: Real Red Taffeta Ribbon, Northern Frost Decorative Strip, Build A Brad, Pearls, Polka Dot Embossing Folder
The second card of the night used the same "direct to rubber" technique. This time I used a different colour on each of the words in the "holly jolly" stamp. The ivy from the Bells & Boughs set isn't one that would normally lend itself to this technique but it came out really well.
Stamps: Bells and Boughs, Bright Christmas
Ink: Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Real Red, Early Espresso Markers
Cardstock: Old Olive, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Other: Early Espresso 1 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon, Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" circle punches, Petals A Plenty Embossing Folder
