Stampin’ Up! Stamps a Top 10 Tool for 2011

September 26, 2011 by Alison Solven

26 Sep

Hello Stampers,

Tools I'm excited to announce that Creating Keepsakes magazine  has named Stampin' Up!'s wood- and clear-mount rubber stamps as one of its Top 10 Tools for 2011!

While Stampin' Up! has long been recognized in the stamping and crafting industry for producing high-quality rubber stamps and exclusive images in a variety of artistic styles, being recognized by Creating Keepsakes is just another validation that when you choose Stampin' Up! products, you are choosing the best.

In celebration of this recognition I'm offering Blog Candy!  Just leave me a comment on this post answering the following question….

I love Wood Mount (or clear mount) stamps from Stampin' Up! the best because….(make sure you give the 'why')

I will randomly choose a winner on October 7th when I get back from my vacation to Toronto.  We are heading out on Thursday for a week to celebrate the marriage of my nephew and we can't wait to spend some quality time with my family….especially our daughter, Carly, who has been working there this year.

Scan0001 What do you win?  The Hostess set from the Summer Mini – "Swirls & Curls Verses".  Sorry for the quality of picture – if you have the Summer Mini you can "view" the set on page 4!

Good Luck!

Alison

I love the clear mount stamps for so many reasons…take up less space, great for taking along on a crop because they are compact, sit nice on my shelf for easy viewing, like that there is a picture of each stamp in the set right on the box, placement is so easy because you can see exactly where you are stamping…is that reason enough?

I love the clear mounted stamps because they are easier to store have pictures of all the stamps on the spine of the case. They also stamp really clear and you can see exactly where you are stamping.

Definitely the clear stamps! Storage is more convenient and they are much more accurate for lining up stamps, especially the two-step stamps.(For lazy people like me who sometimes don’t get out the stamp-a-ma-jig when they should!) Mounting them is so quick and easy as well. Have a great vacation!!

Although the clear mount stamps take up less room, I actually like the wood mount used with my Stampin Up stamp positioner for EXACT placement. I also like that I can grap a stamp, ink it and put it to paper without having to stick it to a acrylic block.

I love the Stampinup wood stamps. I find they are easier to just pick out of the plastic container and stamp. No looking for the right size clear block, or adding glue to make sure they stick to the block or cleaning the block of splatters after using the stamping mist and stamp scrub. The first time I used the clear stamps I got ink splotches all over my card due to not checking the block which had just been cleaned from the person next to me.. Oh well. The one thing clear stamp sets have going for them is price and take up less room to store. My daughter loves them but I still buy 95% wood.

I love SU stamps because they are always true when you stamp with them – a clear impression every time. I do prefer the clear mount because of storage and easy to make your own group of stamps for a design – also the dvd case shows a mini version of the stamps on the spine – so easy to find when they are stored in a dvd box.
