Stamp Crazy with Alison

A little bling…

February 29, 2012 by Alison Solven

Hello Stampers,

Bling2Diamonds are a girl's best friend and Dazzling Diamonds is no exception!  Such a pretty glitter to add to any card.

At the San Antonio Regional Conference we were treated to some fabulous demonstrations including this one using Dazzling Diamonds (you could also use our wonderful Fine Cosmo Glitter!).

My downline Melva Peters shared some of her cards with my team at a recent meeting – they are so pretty and shinny in real life. The entire background piece is covered in glitter!

Here's how to create this look yourself.

1. Stamp the image (s) on a piece of cardstock. You can stamp an image to punch out or an entire sheet randomly for a background piece.  You can also punch out shapes and use them as a cool background accent.

2. Peel back the corner of  a Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet (the side with the writing showing)  and stick the stamped image face down on the glue. Fold back the top layer and burnish the image to the glue with a bone folder.

3. Cut the piece out so you have the image with the backing of the sheet. If you are going to punch out your image do it now.

4. Carefully peel back the backing to expose the glue.  Cover the piece entirely with Dazzling Diamond Glitter and tap off excess (return the unused glitter to your jar).

Done!

This simple card is jazzed up with the glittery flower from Mixed Bunch Stamp Set.  The flower is stamped, adhered to the adhesive sheets and then punched out with the Blossom Punch.

It is really beautiful in real life!  It is hard to capture the bling with the camera but trust me it is so beautiful.  I hope youèll try this techique at home.

Happy Stamping!

Alison
