Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalogue is Here!

July 31, 2012 by Alison Solven

Hello Stampers,

Video 2 0 00 00-005I LOVE the new Holiday Catalogue so much and I know you will too!  If you are on my mailing list you should have received the catalogue in the mail a few weeks ago.  If not, please email me and I'll make sure you receive your own copy!

When I first received my copy I fell in love with the cover – isn't that ornament just gorgeous!

Well I knew I had to make it for myself and I did – it was simple with the Ornament Keepsakes Stamp Set and matching Holiday Ornaments Framelits Dies.  Just stamp and use the framelits to cut the shapes out perfectly.

Did you notice that there is a special price if you purchase both items in a Bundle?  You save 15% off the regular price.

For this week only (so August 1st – 8th) if you leave me a comment on my blog about your favourite item in the new Holiday Catalogue I'll give you an additional 10% off the Bundle price!  That's a total of 25% off!   You can pick ANY bundle – they are listed on page 2 of the catalogue – there are seven different ones.  Can't decide?….you can take 10% off any of them or all of them – but just for this week and just for my Blog readers!

Here's a picture of some of the ornaments I've made using the sets followed by a video tutorial on how to make one yourself.  I'll be offering a class on making the large Ornament so stay tuned for that information.  Enjoy the video!

Alison….I can’t wait to get the Christmas Ornament bundle. I can see that I’ll be making a lot of these ornaments as swaps on cards and just as gifts for Christmas.!!! I love the whole catalogue!!

Easy….my favourite thing is the Ornament Keepsakes Bundle….but then there’s the Core’dinations Card Stock and that beautiful Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder…the Wonderful Winterland stamp set is soooo adorable…I can’t help but smile when I look at the images….the Make a Mitten stamp set with the Builder Punch combined with the Snow Festival DSP makes me want to go outside and play in the snow (even if its super hot outside)…oh wait….how cute is the Owl Occasions and the Scentsational Season Bundle just makes me want to curl up with a cup of hot cocoa (o.k. maybe an iced cocoa)…the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin Pad sounds like it is a must have for my holiday cards…and I can’t forget the Perfectly Preserved Bundle or the Friendship Preserves Bundle….and how versatile is the Seasonal Sayings and the MDS2 software is free for a 30 day trial….did I say this was going to be easy!!!! Love it…Love it….Love it!

LOVE this ornament!!! A fantastic tutorial – super easy to follow! For the larger ornament, how did you anchor the pieces?

    Hi Terri,

It’s not difficult – you basically make a circle with the five lower larger pieces, overlapping them slightly so they form the base. I’ll do another video soon showing how to make them. Stay Tuned.
