Hello Stampers,
Do any of you remember what it was like to turn 21? I remember it was a very special birthday in my "time" and I think it still is a significant milestone. My parents made a very big deal out of it and made it very special for us. My youngest turned 21 in late September (yikes!) and his girlfriend turned 21 yesterday.
They are really nice people and that's one of the most important things you can hope for when you raise your kids. While some people focus solely on grades and accomplishments (and those ARE important) I believe the most important thing is your character. Both Sylvie and Ian have good moral compasses and are kind people! Both are driven in their pursuit of their dreams and I'm grateful they have "goals" and have a plan on how to achieve them.
Here's Des (or as Ian calls him "old man") and I with "the boy" as we like to call him. He is a student in the Law Enforcement Program at a local Justice Institute and hopes to become a police officer after graduation.
I miss our girl Carly and wished she was in this picture but we'll have to wait until Christmas to see her. She is working in Toronto.
Here's Ian and Sylvie on his birthday in September. Sylvie is studying hard at UBC for her degree in Kinesiology and hopes to become a Physiotherapist. That would come in handy with all of Ian's soccer injuries! She's already an expert in taping ankles.
And one last one on Sylvie's birthday yesterday.
Happy Birthday kids!
Alison
