Hello Stampers,
It's Saturday! So that means another Border Buddy share from Patsy & Alison.
I wanted to wish my American friends all the very best for a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday (don't kill yourselves on that Black Friday madness thing you all do! LOL) and what better way than to share some of my favourite swaps I received with a "thankful" or "Thanksgiving" theme. I know I'm a few days early but I wanted you to have some time to make these amazing cards before the big day!
By Mo Dickie (my sister in Toronto)
Mo used the "bark" from the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit (#133463).
This kit has lots of cool little elements including the fabulous White Stampin' Chalk Marker ((#132133) but I LOVE this birch paper ribbon so much that I think it's worth buying the kit just to get some! Just looking at it reminds me of growing up in the east – we don't see many birch trees here on the west coast.
Don't you love how Mo stamped the wood slice on the bark paper (which has texture by the way – looks like real birch strips from the tree)?
The stamps are from Truly Grateful (#131730 for wood and #131733 for clear mount). These elements can be used for so many themes especially the wood chevron images!

I LOVE the little safety pin from our Vintage Trinkets (#118764) with the punched out heart – so adorable!
Unfortunately I can't give the artist credit because there is no name on the back but the little touches on this card are amazing.
The layering of the 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon (#132140) with the 5/8" Crochet Victoria Trim Ribbon adds texture and dimension. She also used two tiny pearls on the tag and made a cute "reinforcement" for her tag. Love this!
Kris' card is so gorgous in person that this picture can't do it justice but hopefully you can see some of the elements that make it a WOW! First there is the 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon (#132140) again but Kris has layered a piece of the 3/4" Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon on top. She has stamped and cut out two of the Magnificent Maple images (#131868) and popped up the "Thanks" image from Harvest of Thanks (#131736 wood, #131739 clear mount). There is also the Gorgeous Grunge stamps (#130514 wood, #130517 clear mount) and Positively Chevron Background stamp (#130496 wood, #130499 clear mount) on the card front. The finishing touch is the button tied with the Linen Thread (#104199).

I love this card – so simple and so elegant. This could be used for Thanksgiving but it's a perfect "Thank You" card on it's own.
It uses the single Magnificent Maple stamp (#131868) which has been embossed with Tangerine Tango EP (#123106). The layering and dimension are executed perfectly on this card.
