Stamp Crazy with Alison

Is it Better to Give than to Receive?

April 12, 2014 by Alison Solven

Hello Stampers,

It's Border Buddy Saturday and Alison here this week with the age old question "To be or not to be" – whoops I mean "Is it Better to Give than to Receive?"  I would say both are wonderful and this week I want to share two cards – one was received by me and the other will be given by me.

First to the Receive (maybe this is better?)

Anniversarycardout

I received this absolutely beautiful card in the mail this week from Stampin' Up! Canada to recognize my 12th year as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  It was made by an anonymous stamper from Canada!  It is a WOW!  Here's the inside:

Super special right?  The back is stamped with "Handmade by your fellow demonstrators" – pretty amazing!

The "give" card is actually for members of my team – they participated in a challenge during Sale-a-bration and if they met the targets they were invited to a special Achiever's Day today!  We'll have a stamping project (which I will share on my blog after everyone has received them), food, games and a prize.  This is the card they will each receive either by mail or in person at the event.  I CASED this card from page 17 in the Catalogue – just changed out the greeting!  Do you think they'll like it?  I hope so!

So, is it better to give than to receive?  I think when it comes to a handmade card or gift BOTH are better!  Please share your cards with someone in your life – getting a handstamped card in the mail really does make someone's day special!
