Step Up! Stampin’ Border

Buddies Faux Diamond Technique

October 29, 2014 by Alison Solven

Hello Stampers,

It's Alison here with this week's  Step Up! Stampin' with Border Buddies.  Today's card shows how to step up a simple card to a gorgeous shimmery winter scene.

I started with a simple card using the White Christmas stamp set (my favourite!!) and one of the featured Border Buddy cards from this month's class.

Whitechristmas1

This card is so simple to create so perfect if you wanted to mass produce them for your Christmas cards this year.

With a few embellishments you can make them just a little more special.

Whitechristmas2

In this version I added a Nordic Designer Button collection and a piece of All is Calm Designer Washi Tape.  I also created a banner for the greeting.  One last element was to stamp the bear image on a scrap, cut it out and pop it up to give the card some dimension.

For the stepped up version I added Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder to the scene to creat the Faux Diamond look.  Doesn't this look like a scene right out the winter?  It's so easy to recreate.

Check out my video and create this card yourself!

Supplies Used for these cards include:

    Hi Alison:

I like the third version of the “Shimmered” up White Christmas card. Very pretty.
