Hello Stampers,
Border Buddy Saturday and it's Alison here!
Am I dating myself with the title of this post? Do you remember this song by Tiny Tim? He was kinda a creepy guy but the song was sweet. Remember when he and Miss Vicky got married on The Tonight Show? If you do leave us a comment – if lots of you remember then I won't feel so old.
I can't believe it's almost the end of April and while my tulips have finished blooming in my garden I can't get enough of the Love is Kindness tulip stamp in the Occasion catalogue. I just love colouring it with our markers and inks. I hope tulips have poked their heads through the soil wherever you live!
Here are some of my favourite tulip cards that I've received this week.
Love this card by my friend Diane Evans! The image is embossed in Black Stampin' Emboss powdered before it's coloured so it just "pops" off the page. Diane also stamped a second image so she could cut out and pop up the newspaper wrapping which adds dimension to the card. I'm loving the From the Garden Stamp set and matching Handpicked Framelits Die too and they are used perfectly to finish off this beautiful card!
This card by my sister Mo Dickie just makes me happy! I love the colours she used and the special fold too! The front of the card actually opens to reveal the tulips inside – they are just peeking through the cut out window on the front. How fresh and gorgeous is this card?!
Here's some of the products that were used in today's cards:

Hmm I can remember that tune, and ‘Tiny Tim’ he was anything but tiny, a bit weird and shoulder length long hair, I think. he didn’t last long in the limelight.
So there a still few of us around that were born in the middle of the last century ………
OMG that makes us old, no? Ok, mature then.
Thanks for leaving your comments – I’m glad I’m not the only one who is “mid-century” and remembers him on Laugh In. We aren’t old though. LOL
The colours for the Spring Card are Calypso Coral and Garden Green.
I do remember Tiny Tim and the Tonight show…a funny blast from the past… Nice card using the Love is Kindness stamp. I love your sister’s card, too.
Could you list what these colors were in the Hello Spring card, please. Thank you, Shirley
Oh yes, I remember Tiny Tim and that song and the ukelele. And the wedding on the Tonight Show. Love this stamp set. I may have to think about getting it. Both cards are lovely and would make great Mother’s Day cards. Thanks. (You are lucky to have even seen tulips already as here in Alberta, even though its been a warm winter, we won’t have any flowers for awhile yet.)
