Hello Stampers,
I had so much fun making cards using the Pedal Pushers Stamp set that I will be sharing lots of samples over the next few weeks with you. Today I paired it with the Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper from the Annual Catalogue. Did you know there is a whole sheet (well 2 actually) with bicycles on it in this package?
This paper is so summery and bright and it's easy to create cards when you also purchase the matching Schoolhouse Cardstock Pack featuring Daffodil Delight, Pool Party and Tangerine Tango cardstock. Just add Whisper White and you are completely coordinated!
This was such an easy card to make – the middle banner is 1 1/2" wide and the others are 1" wide so they fit perfectly in the Banner Triple Punch which creates the little tails on my banner. You can fit in any size strip up to 2" wide and create simple little tails (perfect everytime!).
I just stamped the bicycle in Basic Gray Archival ink and add some Candy Dots to the middle of the spokes in the wheels. A mat of Pool Party cardstock and some Pool Party Cotton Ribbon and you are done. Pop up the stamped layer to give it some added depth.
Just adding those little Candy Dots to the center of the wheel spokes adds a little detail to a simple card.
Sometimes less is better so here is another sample of a very easy clean card using the Pedal Pusher Stamp Set.
I stamped the bicycle three times with Versamark ink across the strip of Whisper White (5 1/2" x 2") and then I added Black Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set it. I then stamped the wheels on Pool Party, Real Red and So Saffron cardstock and heat embossed in black. I punched out the center of the wheels with my 3/4" circle punch and added them to the center of the wheels and added black Candy Dots (from the neutrals collection). It adds just enough "pop" to this simple layout. Backing the stamped piece on Basic Black cardstock makes the images stand out and then I added some Bermuda Bay ribbon and corner rounded the bottom of the card.
Here are some of the products I used in these cards:
