I can't decide if these are lilacs or stock. I decided to colour them as lilacs because it reminds me of when I was a kid growing up in Ontario. We had huge lilac trees in our yard and when they bloomed it was spring. Now I live in Vancouver and I have three different kinds of lilacs in my yard. The seasons are different here so now when the pussy willows bloom in my yard it's spring – it's mid-March and they are already done for the season.
I love watercolouring and the Helping Me Grow stamp set has been fun to use with my Aqua Painters and inks. Can you see the lines around the images? I always draw a thin line of Smoky Slate (or a light blue depending on the image) before I start to "anchor" my image. Don't worry if you go outside the lines – that's how it supposed to look and leave some lighter or even some white space.
I finished off my card by stamping a tone-on-tone lilac on the card front with Wisteria Wonder ink. The White 1/4" Jute Ribbon and the Wisteria Wonder 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon add a soft touch to the card.
I add a few pears to the center of some of the flowers and I was done.
Here are some of the products I used in today's card (click on the picture to be taken to my online store):
