It's Border Buddy Saturday and it's Alison here this week. This technique of emboss resist is so easy and when you combine it with a shape framelit it's really a WOW!
Start by stamping the beautiful flowers from the Birthday Blooms stamp set on a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Versamark ink and apply White Emboss Powder and heat set. Use daubers and Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party ink over the stamped image. The embossing powder will resist the ink. I like to buff up the image with a piece of paper towel to just take off the excess ink that might be sitting on the embossed image.
Cut out the shape using the Bold Butterfly Framelits and you have a flower embossed butterfly! So easy but so elegant.
Stamp the sentiment in Versamark and emboss in Gold on vellum. The ribbon is the Pool Party 3/8" Glitter Ribbon which is on the retirement list – since I did this post before I left for my European trip with Stampin' Up! I can't guarantee it's still available today.
All the elements are perfect together and create a really elegant card.
Here are some of the supplies used in this card:
