The Stampin' Up! retirement list has been released and it's sad to see some favourites going away forever on May 31st (guaranteed to May 22nd only). One of my all time favourite stamps is Vivid Vases which is a single stamp, wood mounted. You can use these vases together, in a smaller group or as a single image.
In this card the vases were stamped on the card and then again on designer series paper (this one is retired along with the ribbon). The vases were fussy cut out of the paper and glued to the stamped image. Isn't this a great look?
It's so easy to add colour this way. I left the flowers uncoloured because I wanted the focus to be on the vases.
The little banner adds some detail and is created using the Banner Punch which is also retiring May 31st (or while supplies last). Over the next few weeks I'll be sharing some other samples using stamps that will be leaving the catalogue. Make sure you purchase them before they are gone forever!
Here's another card using this set. It's an "easel" card and lays flat for mailing. The "water" in the vase is created by colouring with an Aqua Painter and Soft Sky ink. Then Crystal Effects is added to give the appearance of "water". This product is no longer available as it sold out quickly – which is why you need to make sure you get all the items you want before they are gone too!
Current Hostess Code: PR6RVVCU – Why should you use the Hostess Code? Free Cards of course!
