Have you been seeing this fun card design using a popped up frame technique all over pinterest lately? I'm not sure what the proper name for the technique is but they sure are easy!
I used the Host Set called Gift of Love which is a Photopolymer set. It makes the lining up of the flowers and stems inside the outline image so easy. I started by stamping my images on a piece of 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece of Whisper White card stock and then created two frames using the Layering Squares Framelits Dies. When you use the Magnetic Plate with your Big Shot the pieces stay perfectly in place so your frames are a snap to cut. I love the softness of these images so wanted to use light soft colours too – I chose Blushing Bride and Mint Macaron for the inside of the flowers and stems and Smoky Slate for the outlines. Smoky Slate is my new go-to colour and it works beautifully with the Blushing Bride.
Once you've cut out all your frames you glue down the outer and inner pieces and pop up the middle one. Our new Foam Adhesive Strips make this so easy! I add some Wink of Stella to the flowers on the raised piece – hope you can see them in the picture!
