It's Just in Case Thursday – the day Patsy and I bring you a card that we have CASED (Copy and Share Everything) or used as inspiration to create our own card. Today I'm using the Merriest Wishes Stamp Set with the matching Merry Tags Framelits Dies. You can bundle them together and save 10%.
This was my inspiration this week on page 21 of the Holiday Catalogue. I reproduced the tag and other elements and transferred it a card. I love the Note Cards & Envelopes from the Annual Catalogue (5" x 3 1/2") because you can make lots of cards and when you are done there isn't much room inside to write a long message (which I like LOL).
Did you know that if you use our Tear & Tape Adhesive is heat resistant? I took the matching envelope and cut the flap so it was a straight line across and then applied the tape. Take off the backing and add Embossing Powder and heat set. I repeated that on the bottom on the front of the envelope. Isn't that a great tip?! And it adds just a touch of bling to your envelope too!
Watch my video to learn how to do this technique – skip ahead to the 9:30 mark if you just want to see that part.
I cut out three of the tags from the Merry Tags Framelits Dies, once in Whisper White, once in Old Olive and once in Crumb Cake. Then cut out the deer and trees and glue to the white tag. You can punch out a circle with the 2" punch to back your tag. I used the gorgeous Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.
I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink.
Doesn't it look like a lovely snow scene? I also added one of the Mini Pinecones to the tag with a glue dot and a bow made using the gold Baker's Twine from the Trio Pack (it also includes Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green twine). If you gently pull on the ends of the twine it adds a little extra element to the ends.
