I received this beautiful card from my friend Lisa Althouse and it reminded me of a technique I hadn't used in a very long time. Masking out a portion of the card and stamping in the area you have left open. The images look like they are floating on the card. It also gives the illusion of layers to a card.
Here's my take on Lisa's card using a brand new set from the Occasions Catalogue (coming January 4th) called Dragonfly Dreams. It's a 2 step stampin' set which means that you stamp the outside of the dragonfly and then stamp with a different colour and image for the inside of the wings. I added a touch of Wink of Stella Clear to add some bling to the wings.
