It's time to hop around the world (literally) for our Colour Your World Blog Hop. Each month my Stampin' Up! friends create a project using the colour palette – this is February's! Isn't it gorgeous?
Sometimes we use all the colours and sometimes we just use a few. This month I was able to use all of the colours in my card!
I love this little chick from the Little Cuties stamp set in the Occasions Catalogue. The little bunny ears are a separate stamp so you can use them independently and because they are photopolymer you can match them up perfectly!
I used the Shimmery White cardstock for the image because it's a great option for watercolouring with Aqua Painters. I stamped the little chick and ears in Basic Black Archival ink and coloured them in with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Pink Pirouette (for the inside of the ears). I "grounded" my chick with Wild Wasabi. You should always add something under your image so they aren't just "floating around" in the air.
The sentiment is also from the same set and I embossed it in white.
The Soft Sky card stock is embossed with the Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Daffodil Delight is embossed with the Large Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder using the Big Shot.
Here are the products I used in today's card (click on the picture and be directed to my online store):
