Today's share is a card made by my friend, Liane Binder. How cute are these little pigs?
Have you ever seen the Durito's commercial where the little boy ties rockets on the side of a pig to prove pigs fly and earn himself a bag of yummy chips? That's what I thought of when I saw this stamp set called This Little Piggy. I earned it as a prize at the Toronto On Stage event in April! It's coming in the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue coming in June!
Liane made a Z-fold card and used some brand new products from the upcoming catalogue including the fabulous Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack, a 6" x 6" stack of wood themed papers. These are perfect for the new Wood Crate Framelits Die.
Here's the card opened up. The saying is "She believed she could"…and on the inside "…so she did!". I love that little pig flying over the meadow. The grass was made with the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits and cut and glued to the bottom of the card. The hay in the crate is made with the Fringe Scissors.
Liane and I had so much fun playing with these little pigs. When I saw the little pig on the front of Liane's card I immediately thought of Wilbur from Charlotte's Web fame. This was a favourite story of my kids when they were small. Remember what Charlotte wrote in the web? Some Pig!, Terrific, Radiant and finally Humble. She saved her friend's life and taught us about the meaning of friendship.
So I just had to make this card with Wilbur and Charlotte and the simple message of "Humble" woven into the web.
I can't wait to share more of the amazing new products with you all when the catalogue goes live on June 1st.
