It's Thursday and that means it's time for another Just In CASE project from my Border Buddy, Patsy Waggoner, and I. We both loved this suite so much we are featuring it as our Border Buddy Free Cards PDF in July. There is still time to take advantage of earning an 8 page PDF featuring projects using the Naturally Eclectic Suite when you place an order in our online stores. If you order is more than $50 I will send you two of the cards from the offering in the mail!
Read about my FREE CARD program.
My inspiration for today's card is from page 28 of the Annual Catalogue and features the Flower Shop Stamp Set and the Pansy Punch.
This is a great "sketch" that you could CASE with so many stamps. I choose the Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set and coordinating Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies. When you bundle the stamps and dies together you save 10% off the purchase price.
Here's my take on this card sketch:
I choose Soft Sky and Lemon Lime Twist as my base colours for the bold image and Night of Navy as the 2 step open image on top. The sentiments are from one of our hostess sets called Background Bits (in red rubber offerings). The ribbon is one of our new offerings – 1/4" Ombre in Lemon Lime Twist.
You can see the ribbon up close in this picture – the colour starts off dark at the top of the ribbon and gradually fades to a lighter version of Lemon Lime Twist. This is called the "ombre" look and is very popular these days. The center of my flowers are finished off with the Clear Faceted Gems.
If you would like to make my card yourself sign up for my free newsletter. Each Sunday I send an email that includes the full colour, step by step instructions (with supply list) for my weekly Just in CASE card. I always include other project instructions too.
Here are the products I used in today's card (click on picture and be directed to my online store):
