It's Card Swap Sunday, the day I share a card I've created for a swap or received in a swap. Today I'm featuring a brand new stamp set from the upcoming 2017 Holiday Catalogue called Santa's Suit. It's adorable and has a coordinating set of dies called Santa Builder Framelits Dies. You can purchase the stamps and dies as a bundle and save 10% after September 1st when the catalogue goes live.
I used some of the Quilted Christmas 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper from the Quilted Christmas Suite of products. The little Santa hat is stamped and then cut out with the matching die. So easy! This would be a great card to mass produce if you have a lot of Christmas cards to create.
I share the instructions for my Card Swap Sunday cards on my Stamp Crazy with Alison VIP Hangout! group on Facebook. All you need to do to become a member is to make a purchase of $50 in the year! If you think you belong already just click on this link and ask to join!
The Santa's Suit Photopolymer (you can see through the stamps for easy placement) has coordinating Santa Builder Framelits Dies so you can cut out all the pieces easily with your Big Shot. When you bundle them together you save 10% on the purchase price too!
How cute is that card with all the Santa suit pieces on the line. The stamps are two step so you stamp the outline with one stamp and then fill in the colour with the second stamp right on top. Or if you prefer you can colour in the outline images with Stampin' Write Markers, Watercolor Pencils or inks using the Aqua Painter or Blender Pens. Add a little shimmer to the "fur" with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.
Who wouldn't love to receive this adorable little gift at Christmas – it would make a sweet Host gift. Layering all the pieces really make Santa come alive!
My card uses the Santa Hat and the two step technique I mentioned earlier. Then I just cut it out with the matching framelit. I love layering the shapes from the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies with one of the sets of the Layering (Circles, Squares or Ovals) Framelits. Playing around with the plain and scallop shapes gives you so many choices.
I wrapped the Burlap ribbon around the piece between the scallop circle and the stamped circle. I think it gives it just another level of dimension.
