Card Swap Sunday – Watercolor Christmas

November 12, 2017 by Alison Solven

12 Nov

It's Card Swap Sunday and each week I share I card I've received or made for a swap.  Today I'm sharing a card I received in a swap and then tweaked to my own look.

Watercolor Christmas Stamp Set www.stampcrazywithalison.ca

I love black and pink – it's reminds me of a Parisian look.  I paired the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper with the 7/8" Striped Ribbon.  The image is from Watercolor Christmas stamp set with coordinates with the Watercolor Christmas Project Kit.  The kit allows you to easily make 20 cards and includes everything you need when paired with the stamp set and some inks.

Watch Holly from the Home Office share the kit with you in this video:

I started the card by washing some Pink Pirouette ink over the Shimmery White circle with an Aqua Painter.  Wait until it dries completely and then stamp the Oh Joy with either Memento or Black Archival ink.

The Stitched Shape Framelits are so fabulous because they cut and emboss the little stitch lines on the same pass through the Big Shot.  I wanted to use the Polka Dot embossing folder to mirror the circle of the stamped focal image.  This card is a perfect one to mass produce for your Christmas cards.

I post the instructions for my Card Swap Sunday cards in my private VIP Customer Facebook group.  How can you join the group? Place a $50 order with me during the year.  Yup – that's all just $50.  Then I'll add you automatically to our exclusive group!

Looks like that card whips up quite nicely. Love the pink….cause pink is my favorite color. 🙂
