It's Card Swap Sunday which is the day I share a card I've created for a swap or received in a swap. Today I'm sharing a card I made for a swap using the Accented Blooms Stamp Set.
I started by embossing the flowers in with White Emboss Powder and heat setting. I then watercolored the flowers with Coastal Cabana, Pool Party and Lemon Lime Twist. When you watercolour on Watercolor Paper you can really saturate it and you don't have to worry about the paper pilling. If you want a darker colour in areas you can wait until it dries and add more colour.
I wanted to emboss the words but I don't own any embossing powder in Coastal Cabana but there is a great "cheat" you can do to make any colour of embossed image. I used the Stamparatus for this technique and started by inking the image in Coastal Cabana. Clean the stamp (without removing it from plate) and then ink in Versamark and stamp again over the first image. Then add Clear Emboss Powder and heat set. It's that easy to create any colour of embossing powder.
I also made the same card design but used Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green. Which one do you like better?
