Have you seen the absolutely adorable Fable Friends Stamp Set in the Occasions Catalogue? The images are nostalgic to me and remind me so much of the Beatrix Potter characters Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddle-Duck.
Today I'm sharing a really sweet card using the "Peter Rabbit" character for a new baby.
How sweet is this little bunny? I coloured him in with my Stampin' Blends which makes the shading so easy. The Gingham Gala 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper is perfect for all the images in the Fable Friends Stamp Set. I cut out the letters using the Large Letters Thinlits Dies and my Big Shot.
Here's what you need to know to make my Peter Rabbit Baby card:
Measurements:
Whisper White Thick – 11" x 4 1/4"; score at 5 1/2" to form card base
Whisper White – 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"; 3" x 2"
Balmy Blue – 5" x 3 3/4"; 2" x 3/8"
Gingham Gala 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper – 4 1/2" x 2 1/2"
Instructions:
- Fold the Whisper White Thick cardstock on the score line to create card base.
- Emboss the Whisper White (4 3/4" x 3 1/2") using the Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder and Big Shot. Glue to the Balmy Blue mat (5" x 3 3/4") and glue both to the card front.
- Cut out 2 B's and 1 Y from the Gingham Gala DSP using the Large Letters Framelits Dies and Big Shot.
- Glue the letters to the Whisper White embossed piece leaving a space for the bunny image.
- Stamp the bunny image in Tuxedo Black ink and colour with Stampin' Blends – Crumb Cake, Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam.
- Cut out bunny and pop up between the two 'Bs' with Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Stamp the sentiment in Versamark ink on the Balmy Blue strip, add White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set.
- Glue to the card front tucking the left end under the bunny image as shown in the picture.
- Add Pearls to the buttons on the bunny's coat.
The sentiment 'Welcome" is from the amazing Well Said Stamp Set on page 27 of the Occasions Catalogue. The stamp set has 51 cling stamps (WOW) and the coordinating Well Written Framelits Dies includes 24 dies. You can save 10% when you purchase them together.
I've had so much fun playing with this set that I'm featuring it all week – check back tomorrow and Friday to see more projects. Here's a sneak peek:
