Stamp Crazy with Alison

Sunday Sketches – Prized Peony Bundle

December 27, 2020 by Alison Solven

27 Dec

Hello Stampers,

It is Sunday Sketch time, Alison Solven from Canada here today.

Each Sunday Patsy Waggoner from the US (my border buddy) and I take turns creating a card using one of our card sketches.  Sketches can help get your creative juices flowing. I find that when I'm stuck and seem to have lost my stampin' mojo a sketch can give me the spark I need.  They are open to interpretation, no real right or wrong way.

Today's card features products from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. The Prized Peony Bundle is part of the Peony Garden Suite Collection. I love Collections because they make coordination so easy with products that go together.

You can create a card using the sketch exactly as it's presented or switch it up – it's meant to be a starting point for your creativity.

    STAMPING STEPS:

  1. Fold the Petal Pink cardstock in half to create card base.
  2. Glue the large piece of DSP to the card front. Glue the strip of DSP to the top of the card approximately 1 1/2" from the top edge.
  3. Cut out the 1 7/8" circle from the Gray Granite using the Stitched Shapes Dies and the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.
  4. Stamp the sentiment in Versamark on the circle, apply White Emboss Powder and heat set.
  5. Pop up the circle with Stampin' Dimensionals in the middle of the DSP strip.
  6. Add Pastel Pearls (new product coming January 5th) to finish your card.
