Each Thursday my Border Buddy Alison Solven from Canada and I take turns creating a card that we CASED from a current Stampin’ Up! catalog. CASE stands for (Copy And Selectively Edit). We like to show you how you can use the paper crafting projects in the Stampin’ Up! Catalog to inspire you!
When you CASE, you can copy it exactly, or selectively edit it by changing the colors or the stamp set or both. Today is a close case with simply changing the designer paper and the stamp set, keeping the exact layout.
The stamp set used in both cards is the Sweet Strawberry Photopolymer Stamp Set (154394). The card base on both cards is Smoky Slate Cardstock (146990). I added some texture to the card front and embossed it with the Tasteful Texture Dies (152718) using the Stampin' Cut & Emboss (149653). The circles are cut out using the Stitched Shape Dies.
The Stampin' Up! concept artist used Granny Apple Green Cardstock (146990) for the leaves and Calypso Coral Ink (147101) for the flowers along with Misty Moonlight. The sentiment is stamped on Pool Party Cardstock using Missy Moonlight Ink. They added a few Opal Rounds to embellish the card.
I stamped my flowers using the Magenta Madness (153117) and Bumblebee Ink (153116). The small flowers and the stems were punched using the Strawberry Builder Punch (154239). The stems are Just Jade Cardstock (153079). Both cards used the Small Bloom Punch (152316) to cut out the larger flowers.
