Each Thursday my Border Buddy Alison Solven from Canada and I take turns creating a card that we CASED from a current Stampin’ Up! catalogue. We like to show you how you can use the paper crafting projects in the Stampin’ Up! Catalogue to inspire you!
Do you ever talk to someone and they start out using some letters that mean nothing to you? In the stamping world we have lots of acronyms too. SU (Stampin' Up!), DSP (Designer Series Paper), KISS (keep it simple stamper), CASE (copy and share everything). Our friend Kylie Bertucci from Australia coined the CASE as copy and selectively edit. I think Kylie's version fits more what I do when I CASE.
When you CASE, you can copy it exactly, or selectively edit it by changing the colors or the stamp set or both. Today I used the same colors as Stampin' Up! concept artist but changed up the stamp set. Stampin' Up! used the Hydrangea Haven stamp set and Hydrangea Dies, I used the Flowers of Friendship Stamp Set and coordinating Flowers of Friendship Punch.
The cardbase is Just Jade Cardstock and the flowers are stamped with Just Jade Classic Ink.
The stem of flowers is stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink which is one of my favorite black inks. It is great to use with the Stampin' Blends which I used to color the images. I colored the leaves in Mint Macaron, the large flowers in Fresh Freesia and the small flowers are Daffodil Delight.
The large flowers are punched out using the coordinating Flowers of Friendship Punch. The small flowers are cut out of Basic White Cardstock using the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and the die from the Hydrangea Hill Dies.
