Sweet Candy Canes Bundle

Welcome to the blog hop for the Canada Inks Up Team – we are so happy to hop along with you today. Our theme this month is a colour challenge – black, purple and silver. I chose the Sweet Candy Canes Bundle from the July – December 2022 Mini Catalogue. This adorable bundle is part of the Sweetest Christmas Suite Collection.

I created the wreath using the branch stamp and dies using Pumpkin Pie and Gorgeous Grape ink and then alternating them to form the circle shape.

I started by using a circle die from the Layering Circles and traced it on my Basic White with a pencil. That helped me keep my wreath a circular shape. Each branch was popped up using a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.

The layout from my card was inspired from a card in our free Border Buddy PDF for October – here is the original card design from my US partner Patsy Waggoner. Scroll down to learn about our free PDF program! Sometimes if I’m stuck for ideas I look through my samples and choose a layout and recreate it with different colours and/or stamps. I loved Patsy’s card so I just mixed it up a bit.

The sentiment is from the Soft Seedlings stamp set and it’s stamped on one of the labels from Stylish Shapes Dies. I love that our products can be used for occasions we might not have thought of when we see the stamps/dies for the first time. In my card today I’ve taken a Christmas themed set and turned it into a fall project just by switching out the colours.
