This fun fold birthday card was created using the Lovely Blossoms Suite Collection, starting with a Cloud Cover card base. The soft blue tone sets a calm, elegant foundation and works beautifully with the floral patterns in this suite.
To create the fun fold structure, the Cloud Cover cardstock is scored and folded to form layered panels that open to reveal a surprise inside. Each panel is decorated with coordinating patterns from the Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper, adding depth and visual interest while keeping the colour palette cohesive. Mixing subtle stripes with floral prints helps guide the eye across the folds and highlights the unique layout.
The focal image was stamped and die cut using the Lovely Arrangements Bundle. The flower and leaves are layered with Dimensionals to add gentle dimension, and a small embellishment in the center of the flower brings in just a touch of shine without overpowering the design. The birthday sentiment is also from the Lovely Arrangements stamp set and is popped up slightly to stand out against the background.
To finish the card, a soft ribbon is wrapped around the front panel and tied in a bow, serving both as a decorative accent and a functional closure for the fun fold. This style of card is perfect when you want to showcase patterned paper, try something a little different from a standard fold, and still keep the design clean and elegant.
