For this card, I wanted to create a soft, elegant take on the traditional Christmas poinsettia. The Soft Sea Foam card base provides a fresh, subtle foundation for layers of the 2026–2028 In Color™ Gingham Gallery 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, topped with Barely Blush Two-Tone Cardstock for a soft, tone-on-tone backdrop. The focal point is a beautifully layered poinsettia, die-cut from Watercolor Paper to add texture and dimension.
The petals were blended with Barely Blush Ink, while the foliage was coloured with Granny Apple Green Ink. A touch of the Barely Blush Shimmer Brush on the petals and the Peaceful Pine Shimmer Brush on the leaves adds a subtle pearlescent finish that catches the light beautifully. A Rhinestone in the centre of the flower, along with a few scattered embellishments, provides just the right amount of sparkle.
With its soft colour palette, delicate shimmer, and dimensional layers, this card is an elegant way to celebrate the Christmas season while showcasing the versatility of the Pretty Poinsettia Bundle.
On my recent Youtube Live I showed how to add colour to watercolor paper dies and also how to add even more dimension by running the die cut through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine a second time with the Impressions Plate. I apologise that at the end the stream cut out but the card was done so hopefully the video will help you!
