Good Morning,
Well…here we are in Vancouver with yet another storm. This is the view outside my front window right now. This weather pattern we’ve been having the past 2 months is crazy! We have had 14 serious storms so far in 2 months…ranging from wind storms with gusts up to 100 mph, rain that has caused major flooding, more wind storms, more rain storms, snow storms..if this is global warming someone got the name wrong. It should be global freezing, blowing and flooding. Yikes.
Actually last night I had my downline meeting and the wind was so severe the downpipe blew off my neighbours house and almost took out one of my windows. The trees next door were blown over so far they almost snapped.
If you’ve ever been to Vancouver and visited our "jewel" Stanley Park the damage has totalled 5 million dollars. It’s so sad because the Park is just a spectacular place to visit. Here’s a picture of my friend with a tree that blew over – can you believe the size of the root ball?
I’ll be blogging about my downline meeting and posting more SAB samples later this afternoon…going out to shovel..in VANCOUVER!! Crazy man…
Happy Stamping, shoveling or whatever you do today. LOL
Alison
WOW I haven’t been to Stanley Park since all this crazy weather started I guess back in November…My place is covered with the white stuff today as well…that means I’ll have a nice quiet indoor day…scrapping and making cards!
Wow!! We were on the same wavelength…I posted my “Enough” last night. I agree your weather is worse than ours, we certainly don’t have the damage and devastation that the coast has, however as for weather patterns, this has been a crazy winter everywhere. We haven’t seen snow as early as this year, or as much since the ’80’s. Off to learn how to use that new snowblower!
Nuts! I am here in Calgary watching all your troubles (my DH was in Vancouver yesterday and stuck in the airport for nine hours waiting for them to de-ice the plane!)…we have friends in Richmond so I know from them what a weird winter you guys have been having! Oh well, I guess you can envy my windy -18 night I have been enjoying!
