Stamp Crazy with Alison

Travel Journal

March 6, 2007 by Alison Solven

6 Mar

Hello Stampers,

I’m starting to think about my upcoming trip to the Panama Canal.  This is a free all expenses paid vacation for my husband & I that I earned through my Stampin’ Up! business and will be my 4th cruise since joining the company.

I wanted to make a journal to take with me and was inspired by one I saw on my friend, Patty Bennett’s, website.  You can see Patty’s journal here.

I love the Ticket & Tokens Simply Scrappin’ Kit combined with the Sentimental Journey Designer Paper I used on the cover of my book.  The book is our Art Journal and now that we have the super cool punch Spiral Punch from the Spring Mini there is no end to the possibilities!

100_40261 This is my cover – I’ll post more pages as I complete them…The luggage tag was made using our On Board Accents.  I used Vanilla Craft ink to colour the tag and then distressed the edges with Chocolate Chip & Close to Cocoa.  The words are created with Collage Alphabet.  I covered the stamped tag with Versamark and then clear embossing powder.  The I added some Classy Copper EP around the edges and distressed it 100_40271 (after heat setting) with chocolate chip.  Another coating of Clear EP finished it off.  Then I added some twill tape and brads from the Hodgepodge Hardware and I was done!

The little frame is also from the Hodgepodge Hardware kit and I used the It’s a Date stamp set and circled APR as that is the month of the trip.

More pages tomorrow…

Happy Stamping,

Alison
