Hello Stampers,
Hope you all had a wonderful Canada Day – we are 140 years old! Does anyone else remember when we turned 100 in 1967? I know I’m dating myself but we all had to learn the song – can’t remember the name but the lyrics were "it’s the 100th anniversary of Confederation…everybody sing together..Can-a-da"…anyone?? LOL
By now you know the new catalogue has arrived and I’ve already placed my first order – it was hard to keep to a budget but I manged to stay within my allotment…for this month anyways! I picked the Pretties Collection (I’ll be making up lots of samples to share with you at my Open House on July 13th & 14th); taffeta ribbon and 5/8" gros grain ribbon, designer papers (Linen Prints & Cutie Pie); Prints Designer Paper (River Rock which is my favourite new colour – it goes with everything!); Garden Whimsey Stamp Set; Baroque Border & Doodle Wheels and a 9 x 9 clipboard. My total was just enough to order a new Hostess set and I chose Oh, So Lovely – it was a tough decision because there are so many new wonderful Hostess sets. The only way to earn the hostess sets is to host a workshop (either a party or a catalogue one) with orders of $225 or more….these sets will never be available for sale so call me to book a workshop!
Lastly, I wanted to share a wonderful card sent to me by my customer Norma Thompson which I thought was just a brilliant way to use our background stamps. Norma stamped the Floral Background on two different colours of cardstock then used the square punch to punch out sections. Then she mounted them side by side alternating the colours to form the picture…isn’t that amazing! I’ve had lots of customers ask about this card so I thought I would share it on my blog. It’s really stunning in person but as always the scan never does a card justice.
Thanks for sharing Norma!
Happy Stamping everyone….the new Fall/Winter Collection catalogue is available for viewing online.

HI Alison!
Thanks for making me feel young! I wasn’t yet born when Canada turned 100! I remember we celebrated pretty well when we turned 125 (I still have the pin from then). I dread the thought of how old I’ll be when Canada turns 150!
