Stamp Crazy with Alison

A Few Good Men…

August 12, 2007 by Alison Solven

Hello Stampers,

I’ve had many customers say they wish there was more choice when it came to making masculine cards for the men/boys in their lives.  It seems that every new catalogue that comes out they lament over the lack of masculine stamp sets.

Well…I happen to think there are a lot of masculine themed sets to pick from in the Fall-Winter Collection 2007 catalogue including…

Voila – great for masculine cards and for the ‘chef’ in your life

Loads of Love & Boatloads of Love

Moose You – isn’t that porcupine precious?

Sporting, Just Hockey, Just Soccer, Just Baseball, Just Gold & Just Tennis

Wanted & Bronc Buster – so nice

Lovely as a Tree

Winds of Grace

Noble Deer, Bareback, On the Fly & Wildlife Reserve

Office Accoutrement & Stamp of Authenticity

Simply Scrappin – Round Up and Out & About

Here’s some artword created with these sets that I got in swaps at Convention…

100_5786 This card uses Winds of Grace along with the harlequin from Looks Like Spring.  I think this is a simple yet elegant card – perfect for a man.  This card was created by Heidi Stenson of Green Bay, WI – go Packers!

This card is spectacular in person because Vickie Mages from Salina, KS, actually stamped the deer once in black and then again in grey just slightly off the first image to give it a natural shading.  It’s really pretty in person – my picture doesn’t do it justice.

This"manly" card was created using the Bronc Buster stamp set and the new Star Punch.  I love the direct to paper technique this stamper used – unfortunately she didn’t sign the back of her card so I can’t give her credit for the design.

I hope this will give you some ideas for masculine themed cards for the "few good men" in your life.

Happy Stamping,

Alison

These cards are fantastic, these ladies are great. I will never complain again, I will never complain again about there not being masculine stamps.
