Hello Stampers,
I’ve been away from my computer for a few days…here’s why. I went to see the movie "The Bourne Ultimatum" on Friday night. It’s been a while since I went to an actual theatre to catch a flick so when the movie started I thought the picture was a bit "jerky" but chalked it up to me not being used to the big screen. Wrong! It’s filmed with a hand held camera and so the entire movie was like watching a home video taped by someone who couldn’t keep the camera still…so it gave me motion sickness which led to a short but ugly recurence of my vertigo. I went straight to bed when I got home and still am a little dizzy today. It was a great story but why oh why do filmakers have to go for wierd camera shots? Am I the only one who gets sick watching these types of movies? LOL
Yesterday was a holiday in BC – I think a lot of Provinces in Canada get the day off as a Civic Holiday -ours is called BC Day (how original LOL). We decided to spend the morning at Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver and then we headed into Horseshoe Bay for Troll’s Fish & Chips. It was a fun hike and the weather was gorgeous.
Here’s the clan at the Lighthouse – I believe it was erected in 1880’s and is still in use today.
Vancouver really is a breathtaking city with the water and mountains. We forget how lucky we are to have such beautiful places to hike just minutes from our homes.
Finnegan, our Golden Retriever, is 12 years old so he was quite the trooper to walk for so long on fairly steep terrain. Of course, my husband had to lift him into the car when we got back. Poor Finn….
I wanted to share a beautiful card I received for my Birthday (back in July) from another "Cancer" – my friend Leslie in Toronto. Leslie used the Double Lined Doodles set we received for attending Stampin’ Up!’s Regional Conferences for demonstrators. I love all of Leslie’s creations because while they may appear simple they are elegant with just the right amount of embellishments. This is a card that makes you feel "happy". Thanks Leslie!
Happy Stamping,
Alison
Wow, thanks for the warning, I will pass on this movie, great photos. Happy Belated Birthday.
