Stamp Crazy with Alison

More cards to share…

August 9, 2007 by Alison Solven

Hello Stampers,

Before I share some more wonderful cards from my friends I just wanted to share how great it is when your kid gets a job and pays for all his clothes with his own Debit card.  We went shopping today for my son’s clothes for camp and school and he paid for them all himself.  I thought it was particularly amusing when he gasped at the price of one pair of boxers ($12) and said "let’s just go to WalMart" where he picked up 3 pairs for $10…toooo funny.  Only a parent with a 16 year old teenage boy can relate to this story.  All I was out was $5 for lunch.  Yea!!

100_5715 Now on to sharing some projects….

The first one was done by my sister, Mo Dickie, using the Simply Scrappin’ Kit called Secret Garden.    These kits are great for scrapbook pages but can easily be used to make cards and other paper crafting projects as well!  Mo used the designer papers and self-adhesive die cuts to decorate a plain clipboard – and now Stampin’ Up! carries a variety of On Board Clipboards just waiting for your creativity.

My friend, Eleonor McGarry, said it would be Dsc04285_3 okay to copy her cards from her blog because I forgot my camera when I went over to her house the other night.  I love the cards that Eleonor made using the same Secret Garden set.

Dsc04312_2  I love this one that Eleonor created – it’s simple but very elegant.

Guess I’m going to have to buy this kit too! LOL

Happy Stamping,

Alison

Too funny, it is amazing how kids develop a whole new concept about money when it is their’s that they are spending. Love the clipboard the colors and that paper are awesome.
